It is divided into 30 classes, of 3 hours each per week.

Saturdays 9.30am to 12.30pm (subject to school holidays)

A course for people who have an interest in gardening and want to know more without a taxing level of science, complexity or exams!
Beginners gardening course, no prior knowledge or experience required. Come and learn with Neil, one of our experienced instructors, in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere with like-minded people who have a similar level of interest and ability. Focusing on the principal areas of contemporary ornamental plants and fruit and vegetable gardening.
Each class consists of theory and hands-on practical sessions. Neil runs his own successful garden maintenance and design business and has plenty of real-world experience of the topics covered. Learn how and when to prune, different and interesting ways to propagate plants, selecting the right plants for the right place and how to create all year-round seasonal interest. As well as ornamental planting Neil will advise you on how to grow an extensive range of fruit and vegetables in the ground and containers.
In addition to lessons, we have a WhatsApp group (if you want to join) to help learners exchange ideas and information during the duration of the course and beyond.

All courses are held in the education centre at Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre, Rushmore Hill, Knockholt, Kent, TN14 7NN
