£3.99
  • This classic-looking variety of broccoli is compact in shape and boasts productive plants!
  • Supplies a great number of dense florets, weighing up to 500g and all full of flavour.
  • Great for eating raw in salads, or equally, taste fanatstic when boiled or roasted.
  • The woody stems of 'Red Midget’ are perfect to use for cut flowers, to bring a spectacular floral display indoors. Native to the American prairies, these plants are drought-resistant and make a lovely addition to sunny borders, wildflower meadows and gravel gardens. Also a great option for drier areas of the garden, as these are certainly sun-loving! Height: 40cm (16"). Spread: 30cm. (12"). Flowers from June-Sept. Cut back plants in autumn.
  • Sow under glass indoors on the surface of pots or trays of good quality, moist seed compost. Press gently into the surface or cover lightly with vermiculite and germinate at approximately 21-25°C (70-77°F). Cover the tray with a sheet of glass or plastic to conserve moisture but do not exclude light as this assists germination. Transfer resulting seedlings into small pots and grow on.
