Description
Perennial clumps of onion-flavoured, tender, spear-like green leaves. Delicious in all egg, potato and cheese dishes, in salads, and sprinkled over soups and potatoes. Sow thinly in a 9cm pot on a windowsill or trays in a green house at approx 10-15ºC (50-60ºF) using a quality compost. Cover seeds with 13mm (½") compost. (Germination 6-21 days.) Grow on and begin to use shoots when plants are 15cm (6"). Sow every 3-4 weeks for succession. Alternatively sow or plant outside in containers/borders thinning to 15cm (6") between plants.
