Description
Delicate tubular blooms on one side of the long leafy stems. Colours may be pale purple or white with speckled throats. A favourite for herbaceous borders and woodlands in early summer. They prefer dappled shade and are attractive to beneficial insects. Flowers May-August (Year 2). Height 60-120cm (2-4'). Attractive to bees and other pollinators Biennial - flowers year after sowing Beautiful 'cottage garden' flowers Tall and elegant flower spikes that add height to the border, we love that this item will grow in partial shade too. Growing Information Using a quality, moist seed compost, sow your seeds 3mm (1?8") deep in seed trays and place on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at about 16°C (61°F) to germinate (usually 14-21 days). Transfer seedlings when large enough to handle into seed trays spacing them 5cm (2") apart, and grow on. Acclimatise to outside conditions before planting. Alternatively, sow seeds directly outside in May-June. Choose a sunny/partial shaded position.
