- Sow at any time of the year at 21 -24C (70-75F) in a good seed compost. Sow seed on surface of compost and gently firm down. Keep soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light. After sowing, sealing in a polythene bag is beneficial. Germination usually takes 10-20 days.
- When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 8cm (3in) and finally 15cm (6in) pots.
- In the home choose a well lit spot. In the greenhouse provide a little shade. Remove the flower spikes as they weaken the plant.
