Description
Description
Prunus 'Kursar' is a wonderful, spreading Flowering cherry tree ideal for early spring and autumn interest. In March-April (before most flowering cherries come into flower) the branches are coated with deep-pink, single flowers that are popular with bees. The reddish- bronze, young foliage turns to mid-green and then develops red and gold tones in the autumn. The perfect small garden tree, 'Kursar' will grow to a height and spread of only 3 x 3 metres in 20 years. A tough tree, Prunus 'Kursar' is pollution tolerant, and grows well in most conditions with well-draining soil if chalk is avoided. It is ideal for planting as a feature tree due to its beautiful shape and impressive autumn colour.
