- Calathea 'Pinstripe' has large dark green, glossy leaves with white, fish-bone-like stripes that have pink overtones. The leaves are purple underneath.
- Sold in 12cm nursery pot
- Light: As with most variegated plants, Calathea need plenty of diffused light. Direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade and lose their markings.
- Watering: Calathea must be kept in damp soil at all times, but definitely do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil.
- Humidity: High humidity levels are a must. Mist frequently to improve humidity conditions and pop it near the shower from time-to-time to give it an extra boost.
- Additional care advise: Calathea is a moderately fast growing plant, ultimately reaching heights of around 1.5 metres.

Partial shade, well-lit but sunless spot during winter. Keep compost moist using soft, tepid water and reduce watering in winter. Mist foliage regularly - stand on saucer of damp pebbles. Average temp, min 12°C.
