Any perfectly ripe fruit will fall and are subsequently gathered with ease.

Illinois Everbearing is a hybrid that produces delicious long and plump fruits over several weeks during the summer. Purplish-black in colour and sweet in flavour; the taste is very similar to blackcurrants. Large heart-shaped, green leaves that appear once the frost has been and gone. Delicious cooked into pies, sweet puddings and jams but is also nice when it's eaten fresh.
