  • Camellia japonica 'Bonomiana' (Camellia 'Bonomiana') will reach a height of 3m and a spread of 2m after 10-20 years
  • Suitable for clay, loamy and snady soil types
  • Hardy H4- Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central / northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plants in pots are more vulnerable
  • Watch out for pests such as Aphids, Scale insects and Vine weevil, that may cuase problems for the plant in the future. Camellia japonica may also suffer from Camellia gall and Camellia petal blight
