- A low-growing, succulent perennial to 15cm, with fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves carried on trailing, rooting stems. The foliage flushes red in response to drought or low temperatures. Small white flowers are held in spherical clusters in late spring
- Light: Place in bright sunlight.
- Watering: Under glass, grow in standard cactus compost in full light. From spring to autumn, water moderately, avoiding wetting the leaves, and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser monthly. Water sparingly in winter. Soil: Use a Cactus Compost.
- Humidity: Crassula plants can be grown outdoors as perennials in warmer climates, but elsewhere you will need to bring them in for the winter or grow them as houseplants. Temperatures below 30 degrees Fahrenheit may be enough to kill them off. Crassula species prefer low humidity, but they also survive nicely in very humid climates.
- Additional Care Advice: These are hardy if planted in full sun and free draining soil.
