Whilst our centres have been safely closed throughout January, we’ve been hard at work with pre-planned developments to improve your shopping experience.

Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre:
Where plants are always our focus, work has begun on replacing the old, tired and uneven surface, and the brand-new block paving is currently being laid to our plant area to improve your shopping experience.

Over the next few weeks, we have some exciting renovation works taking place at Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre in Knockholt.

Our seasonal plant area is a highlight for many customers, but over the years, general wear and tear of the flooring has resulted in an uneven surface.

To create a smoother shopping experience, we are replacing the 1400sq.m area of existing paving slabs with new paving blocks.

These new blocks will result in a non-slip surface, as well as being hard wearing and easier to maintain.

We are joining forces with a local company to install a canopy over the area, which will become an extension of the current canopy.

While clearing the site, everything we dig up will be sent away for recycling and we will continue to collect rainwater from our roofs and pipe it into our two reservoirs onsite.

We are committed to our environmental pledge and are confident that every step we take brings us closer to becoming one of the ‘greenest’ retailers in the UK.

The new and improved area will be finished by the end of February 2021

Coolings Potted Garden Nursery:
Areas of the car park have been resurfaced to increase the amount of spaces when visiting. Work is almost completed on the expansion of the bedding tunnels. Allowing room for new product ranges to enjoy and enhance your outdoor space. Along with a future area for houseplants to become a permanent feature, later this spring.

Coolings Wych Cross Garden Centre:
We’ve extended The Hybrid Team Room with a new retractable roof, whilst tripling the amount of seating available. Following continued feedback we have continued to enhance the range of roses, and have completed work on the rose sand beds. This ensures we have the freshest roses and are growing on site, which is key to Coolings. Our stoneware area is now back to normal following essential building work, and if you have not visited recently our toilets are complete.

Coolings Lifestyle:
Coolings Green & Pleasant will be changing name to Coolings Lifestyle. This centre remains closed until early February 2021. Exciting improvements are currently underway. This centre will have a new-look and will offer everything you need to create a beautiful home and garden. The range of products in the shop will be expanded and improved to include a fantastic choice of
outdoor furniture & BBQs, interior lifestyle products, houseplants, children’s gifts and toys, bird care and gardening tools and sundries.

Coolings Online Shop:

Following the success of our online shop in 2020 we are constantly adding hundreds of new products weekly. We now have a dedicated team who focus on our online orders ensuring they are picked and delivered in time. Our events glass house has been turned into packing stations to organise and distribute all orders. We are currently recruiting for more people to join our growing online and delivery team. Along with having just purchased two new vans to expand the fleet in time for the peak season.
