The Glass Hut – Tracey Gregory Glass Art

I am Tracey Gregory, a Glass Artist and Glass Fusing tutor. I am a local Glass Artist and Glass Fusing Tutor based in The Glass Hut situated in the Craft Village at Coolings Garden Centre.

Glass Fusing is the process of joining compatible sheets of glass together and firing in a kiln to high temperatures to create beautiful and unique pieces of glass.

I make a wide range of handcrafted glass art and fused glass gifts. I obtain a lot of my inspiration for my work from nature and the surrounding countryside.

I am passionate about the benefits of creative skills and how they can improve your wellbeing.

Glass Fusing Workshops

Join me in The Glass Hut at Coolings and discover and explore the wonderful art of Glass Fusing in a relaxed and caring environment.

Create your own unique handcrafted glass for yourself or as a gift. Choose from a variety of projects, such as a small bowl, dish, a set of 2 coasters, a small fused glass panel, a sun catcher, tealight holder or a free standing wave. The workshops are ideal for beginners or those with some experience of glass fusing.

The workshops run for 3 hours on weekdays and weekends and are kept to a small number of participants to create a more personal experience and provide plenty of support. Your glass will be fired in the kiln at the end of the workshop and available for collect from The Glass Hut within 7 days.

Glass Fusing Courses (5 weeks)

Suitable for all levels, beginners and students with some knowledge in glass fusing all welcome. We will explore various glass fusing techniques during the course and practical demonstrations will be provided each week. You will also learn about the different firing temperatures and the various effects you can achieve in glass. We will also  explore the use of different slumping moulds.

Classes are limited to 4 students and all the equipment is provided. You will be given an amount of Spectrum 96 fusing glass to get you started. As you progress on the course you may need to purchase some additional glass to continue working on your projects. Your glass will be fired at the end of each session and available the following week.
