Pteris quadriaurita 'Tricolor' (12cm Pot)
Product Code: 278233
£7.99
- Common Name: Slender Brake Fern
- When they first unfurl, the fronds of this compact fern are a bright pinkish red, but as time goes on, they initially turn bronze before settling on green. This makes them a more unusual addition to the home, where they will make handsome stand-alone specimens - or they could be used to add a splash of colour to an all-green collection
- Sold in a 12cm nursery pot
- Light: This plant is happiest in bright light but not direct sun as this will cause their leaves to yellow. A little way back from a window in a bright room is ideal
- Watering: Keep the compost moist (but not waterlogged) at all times, but this can be cut back a little in winter, and place in a bright spot away from direct sunlight. These ferns love a humid atmosphere, so mist the leaves regularly with water and/or place the pot on pebbles in a tray filled with water
- Aditional care advice: Mist the leaves when temperatures in the house rise due to summer or winter heatingax
