Product Code: 294534
£7.99
  • The Asplenium Parvati has very distinctive, thick, dark green fronds, which are quite different from any others. The leaves are hardy and shiny giving the plant an extremely robust nature, making it very forgiving of periods of drought, dry air conditions and temperature fluctuations
  • Sold in 12cm nursery pot
  • Light: The Mother Fern prefers moderate, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight and deep shade. An east or north-facing window will serve the fern best.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly during the growing season but less so in the winter. Keep moist but do not allow to stand in water. Bird's Nest Ferns are best watered around edge, directly onto the soil, as pouring into the crown may cause it to rot. Soil:
  • Humidity: Asplenium Parvata is more tolerant of low humidity conditions than other Asplenium. While not required, relocating the plant to a steamier room such as the kitchen or bathroom may improve growth.
  • Additional care advice: Asplenium Parvati benefits from cool to average household temperatures between 18°C and 24°C. Avoid draughts. Does not require a lot of extra feeding. Apply a weak solution occasionally during the growth season. The Mother Fern is moderately slow growing and has an ultimate indoor height of around 50cm.
