  • 'Guernsey Cream' is a Group 2 Clematis. Early large flowered climber with single flowers.
  • Foliage: Deciduous green stems and leaves. Habit: Climbing.
  • Full sun and partial shade. Aspect: East- or north-facing. Exposure: Sheltered.
  • Soil: Chalk, clay, or loam. Moisture: Moist but well-drained. pH: Alkaline an neutral.
  • Ultimate height: 1.5-2.5m. Time to ultimate height: 5-10 years. Ultimate spread: 0-0.1m.
  • Cream flowers with yellow stamens. Great for flowerbeds and borders. Divide or take basal cuttings in spring. Pruning Group 2. Light pruning to remove damaged stems before growth starts in early spring. Suggested planting locations: cottages and informal gardens, Mediterranean climate plants, patio and container plants, flower borders and beds, hedging and screens, and wall side borders.

Description
'Guernsey Cream' has large, cream flowers, up to 12cm across that appear from mid May to July, and again at the end of August. The cream flowers, with yellow stamens and a green bar at the centre, can fade easily in full sun so it’s best planted in some shade. Great against a dark background and can even be grown in a container
