At Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre at Rushmore Hill, we have the well-established Arthurs Restaurant, serving mouth-watering fresh seasonal recipes. This traditional Kentish Barn themed building has an orangery overlooking a picturesque 1 acre garden with picnic tables on the lawn, a large patio and plenty of space to browse the beds and borders, working up an appetite and getting planting ideas for your own garden.

Arthurs Restaurant at Coolings is open Monday to Saturday 9.00am – 4.30pm and Sunday 9.00am – 4.00pm. We serve breakfast from 9.00 am – 11.15 am daily, and lunch from 11.30 – 3:00 pm. 

Afternoon Tea

We serve afternoon tea Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) after 2pm, subject to availability, these must be pre-booked through Arthurs directly – please get in touch. The delicious afternoon tea consists of a selection of teas, finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings, delicate pastries, cakes and signature scones, you certainly won’t go home hungry! 

You can purchase Afternoon Tea gift vouchers for Arthurs at Coolings in the restaurant or on our website, ideal as a gift or treat yourself! We also offer a Prosecco Afternoon Tea, perfect for celebrating a special occasion.

Definitely good cooking happens here. Always something on the very varied menu that will tickle your fancy… presentation good too both on the plate and in the restaurant. Always a welcome relief after buying garden sundries!

Visited Arthurs last Wednesday and enjoyed a lovely meal, and the best coffee I have had in a long time served to me by a lovely young assistant called Charlotte who we think has not worked there for long. A real credit to Arthurs.
