Arthurs Restaurant at Coolings is open Monday to Saturday 9.00am – 4.30pm and Sunday 9.00am – 4.00pm. We serve breakfast from 9.00 am – 11.15 am daily, and lunch from 11.30 – 3:00 pm.
Arthurs is set in a traditional Kentish Barn-themed building, which has an orangery overlooking a picturesque 1-acre garden and our production nursery, the perfect place to unwind. When the weather is good enjoy dining alfresco with picnic tables and a large patio area in Arthurs garden. At the front of Arthurs, we have our terrace which overlooks our plant area. There is designated dog-friendly seating areas both indoors and out.
Arthurs is much-loved by our customers, for its reputation of serving delicious dishes and for using seasonal produce. Arthurs has its own kitchen garden and daily menus are created with local, fresh and seasonal produce. Our light lunch menu includes hot meals, classic dishes, lighter bites, salads and sandwiches.
Visitors love our cake counter, with delicious sweet treats baked by our Head Baker and the team each morning. As well as our famous scones, there are tarts, cakes, cupcakes, brownies and many more to choose from, we’re sure you will find something you love!
Afternoon Tea
We serve afternoon tea Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) after 2pm, subject to availability, these must be pre-booked through Arthurs directly. The delicious afternoon tea consists of a selection of teas, finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings, delicate pastries, cakes and signature scones, you certainly won’t go home hungry!

Festive Lunches
The team at Arthurs (Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre) have a delightful festive menu planned, from traditional roast turkey or baked gammon with all the trimmings to a mediterranean vegetable tartlet, we’re sure you will find something you love on our festive menu.
The Christmas menu will be available from Monday 8th December until Friday 12th December 2025.
