Now Michael delights us with this memoir of his father’s (Arthur Cooling) dedication to building the Coolings business despite many challenges along the way.  He explains how, after he had joined his father in the business, they were able, though not without the occasional difference of opinion, to navigate successfully the many changes in gardening technology and customer expectations that eventually led to one of Britain’s first garden centres.
