Get Ready for Summer!

Get Ready for Summer!

The season is well underway and if you are looking to create a spectacular summer in the garden, then we have all the products that you need! Many garden centres have struggled to secure stock, but at Coolings we still have the excellent range of plants that you have come to expect of us. We have our own nursery at our Rushmore Hill site in Knockholt, giving us a guaranteed supply of high quality, home-grown plants. Our sites are bursting with colour, so whether you are looking for shrubs, roses, bedding, herbaceous perennials, alpines or more, we have just the thing for you.

We reopened our doors on Wednesday 13th May and were delighted that so many of our customers supported us by visiting. We have had lots of positive feedback on the measures we have implemented to keep our customers and staff safe at this time. BBC News correspondent, Emma Simpson, visited Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre at Rushmore Hill, to interview our MD, Gary Carvosso about our reopening and we were thrilled to be featured on the BBC News at 6pm and 10pm! If you haven’t seen it yet, you can watch the clip here. Thank you for all of your lovely comments and feedback, we feel very lucky to have such supportive customers.

If you are visiting us, we have implemented safety measures to keep our staff and customers protected. We have limited the number of people who are allowed in our stores at any one time, so there may be a short queue upon arrival. Whilst we do not like queues at Coolings, we are sure you understand the necessity for this at the moment. Our customers have commented about how well organised they think we have been; we hope this makes customers feel confident that they will be safe paying a visit. To see more about the safety measures we have put in place, please click here.

We know that many of you visiting us are loyal Coolings customers, but we know that gardening has also grown hugely in popularity during the lockdown, geared on by the lovely weather we have been having. For those of you who may be newer green fingers, please check out our How To guides, where you may find some handy hints and tips to help you. Gardening is excellent for health, well-being and stress relief and we have so many plants available to help create a bright and beautiful outdoor space. We hope that the recent trend is one that continues! It’s very busy at the moment so we are currently unable to answer plant advice questions on the phone – please refer to our How To guides to see if they can answer your question!

For those of you who are continuing to self-isolate or don’t feel comfortable in visiting us yet, you can still shop online for delivery. We are unable to accept orders via email or phone. The minimum delivery order value is £30 and delivery is free for orders over the value of £80 (deliveries under £80 have a £6.99 delivery charge). Please see here for further information. Deliveries are currently taking around 7-9 days to arrive and we appreciate your patience with this.

Please keep up with us on our social channels where we will be posting lots of updates, advice, plant inspiration and garden tips over the next few weeks. You can find us on Facebook (we have a page for each Coolings site – The Gardener’s Garden Centre, Coolings Potted Garden Nursery and Coolings Wych Cross Garden Centre), Twitter and Instagram. We love hearing your feedback and keeping in touch with you at a time when many of you cannot visit us.

A big thank you from all of us at Coolings! Stay safe and we hope to see you soon.
