About EcoGro Farm
EcoGro Farm started in 2019 by two local entrepreneurs that wanted to use innovative techniques to grow food more sustainably. Using a technique called Aquaponics, they can use up to 90% less water, produce 5kg of fresh produce from only 1kg of feed input and it is all grown FREE from pesticides and herbicides. As we mimic a natural ecosystem the plants are floated on top of running water which keeps the plants healthy and full of nutrition.
Starting from a polytunnel in a garden; they now operate a small commercial farm at Coolings Lifestyle. EcoGro Farm produces high-quality and sustainable vegetable and leafy greens for retail and wholesale markets. Our produce can be found on-site at the Blueberry Café and the Food Hall.
