Q: Where is the Santa in the Woods Christmas Experience held?

The Experience is only at our Coolings Lifestyle centre, the full address:

The entrance to Santa in the Woods is located via Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail (which comes included with your ticket), please allow 15 minutes to reach the entrance to the Experience and allow extra time for parking and getting thought the shop. Toilets are only located in the main shop building.

Please note Santa in the Woods is not at Coolings The Gardener’s Garden Centre on Rushmore Hill.

Q: How long will my experience last?

You should allow approximately 35-40 minutes for your experience. If you choose to visit Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail then allow additional time for this.  Your booking time is the time you are required to arrive at the entrance to the experience, NOT the time you will see Santa.

Q: What presents are included in the ticket price?

Every child will be able to choose an age-appropriate gift from Santa. This is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Q: How do I claim my free tickets for Willows Bird Of Prey & Wildlife Trail?

Your Santa in the Woods tickets also include free entry to Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail on the same day. Please note if your booking is after 3.00pm you can redeem early entry on the same day, or another date in December 2025 or January 2026 as the Wildlife Trail closes at 4.00pm in winter, with last entry at 3.30pm.

To book your free tickets visit www.willowsbirdofpreycentre.co.uk, select the tickets as per your Christmas Experience booking and then use code that was sent to you in your booking confirmation email at the checkout.

 

Q: Can I take photos in the Experience?

This year we are actively encouraging guests to take photo’s and create memories. Please feel free to share to our socials as we would love to see them!

 

Q: What will happen when I arrive for my experience?

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your booked time. Please follow signs to Santa in the Woods, making your way through the shop and outside. You will be greeted by one of our Elves near to then entrance for Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail. You will need to show your ticket (either on your smartphone or a printed copy).

Q: What will happen if I arrive late?

Late arrivals will be dealt with on a case by case basis. We will endeavour to slot you in as bookings allow. However, in the case of late arrival, we are not able to offer a refund.

Q: Will my visit to Santa in the Woods be with other families?

Your time with Santa will be only with your family and friends, however other parts of the experience will be in a a larger group with other families.

Q: Do babies need tickets?

Yes, under 12 months of age all babies will need a ticket (please refer to our Santa in the Woods website page for dates and prices). They will receive a gift from Santa’s workshop.

Q: Are there toilet facilities nearby?

There are toilet facilities available in the Garden Centre shop building. We recommend using them before arriving at the entrance as they are located approximately 10 minutes away from the Experience entrance.

Q: Can we bring buggies to the Experience?

We ask that buggies are left in the allocated undercover area just inside the Santa in the Woods entrance, any valuable items are left at your own risk. You will be able to collect your buggy at the exit.

Q: What is the accessibility like in and around Santa in the Woods

The entrance pathway to the woods is not wheelchair friendly. We can offer alternative points of access subject to a prior conversation and/or a site visit.

Mobility scooters can be used to access the entrance through the woods, however due to space limitations, they cannot be used within the attraction itself.

The Experience is located within the wildlife trail, which is a natural environment within a woodland setting. This can have an impact on ground surfaces dependent on weather conditions. The pathways consist of matting, bark and gravel. The pathways are lit to a minimum level to enhance the illuminations of our festive lights.

There is a covered area at the entrance and all activities are inside.

We recommend that you wrap up warm, wear suitable footwear such as boots and bring an umbrella.

Q: Is the Experience wheelchair accessible?

The Christmas Experience is wheelchair friendly, only in extreme weather conditions can the route to the Christmas Experience become inaccessible for wheelchairs.

The pathways are reinforced with matting, and covered with a light bark and gravel. The pathways are lit to a minimum level to enhance the illuminations of our festive lights.

Q: Do carers need tickets?

One carer can enter the Experience for free when accompanying a disabled guest. Please do not book on our website but contact us on events@coolings.co.uk or ring 01959 532269 to notify us of when you would like to visit and your specific requirements. You will need to provide us with a document to prove you are a carer.

Q: What are your Terms & Conditions?

Terms & Conditions

We aim to ensure we provide everyone with the best possible experience and to do this, we need to implement a few terms and conditions, apologies if we sound strict.

  • Children must be accompanied by at least one paying adult and must be supervised at all times while on site.
  • You must present your ticket (either on your smartphone, or a paper copy) on arrival. Entry without a valid ticket will be refused.
  • For any customers requesting special assistance, wheelchair access or have SEN needs, please make us aware BEFORE you book your tickets so that we can discuss your requirements before your visit.
  • Please aim to arrive at the entrance 15 minutes before your booked time, late arrivals may result in entry being refused. Booked entry times are strictly adhered to.
  • Tickets are non-refundable unless we are unable to open the Christmas Experience for any reason.
  • Tickets cannot be changed or exchanged.
  • We encourage you to take your own photos and welcome you to share your own images to our socials.
  • Christmas gifts will be given to all children. They are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
  • Last entry to Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail is at 3:30pm (allowing a 30-minute visit). Anyone booked for the grotto after 3.00pm can redeem their ticket for Willow’s Birds of Prey & Wildlife Trail on another date throughout December 2025 and January 2026. Please note Willow’s Bird of Prey & Wildlife Trail is closed on Christmas Eve.
Q: Do I need to print my ticket?

Tickets will be emailed to the address you use to book your tickets. There is no need to print this email, please just show the email on your phone.

Q: If a time slot is full, can I add to it?

No, once time slots show as full there are no extra tickets available for that time.

Q: Can I get a refund if I change my mind or I am unable to visit?

Once booked, tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

 

Q: Can we bring dogs?

Dogs are not permitted in Santa in the Woods, with the exception of Assistance Dogs.

Q: Can I use a Coolings gift card to book my Santa in the Woods tickets?

If you would like use a Coolings gift card to book your tickets, you are able to enter your gift card number at checkout.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept HTA gift cards online.

Q: What photo opportunity are you offering?

This year, we are inviting guests to capture their own special moments with Santa! Based on feedback from previous years, we know that many visitors love taking their own photos to keep and share instantly. You are welcome to take as many pictures as you would like using your own phone or camera — it’s a wonderful way to create personal memories without any extra cost. We kindly ask that everyone be considerate of other families while taking photos.

Our friendly elves will also be on hand to help take photos on your device, so everyone in your group can be part of the magic. Please note that professional photo packages will not be offered this year.
