Despite the global economic troubles of the past years, we hope that with a brand new decade will come a renewed sense of optimism - it certainly has at Coolings. We are always looking for ways to improve the experience for you, our customers, so for 2010 we have plans for a whole host of new and exciting ideas to make a visit to us even better:
- Come and see our biggest ‘Grow Your Own' range yet, with a new dedicated display area being built at The Gardener's Garden Centre. We will be stocking everything you need to get growing, ranging from the smallest seeds to our extensive range of fruit trees, plus all the composts and fertilisers aimed at giving them the best start in your garden.
- We have a new section dedicated to the renowned David Austin Rose collection, which will not only be our largest range to date but will make us one of the largest stockists in the country!
- Look out for more promotions than ever before, both in Cuttings (our free quarterly newsletter) as well as on site, meaning all those planned garden improvements could be better for your pocket than you may think!
- With Coolings Green & Pleasant now establishing itself as a great day out for the whole family, we will be introducing hot meals in Teasels for the first time, so you will be able to enjoy a hearty meal after a walk around our Nature Trail.

- We will be stocking a wider, more extensive range of composts and soil improvers this year including those from new supplier, Vital Earth. These are all peat free, organic and recycled products aimed at helping you become a greener gardener, and we will be stocking the range at Green & Pleasant.
-
We are also constantly improving our free Nature Trail at Green & Pleasant, and this year we plan to add more attractions as well as the geese, pigs, chickens and wallabies to come and visit.
- Something we are proud of at The Gardener's Garden Centre is our extensive selection of conifers, which we believe to be unrivalled in the South East region. These are fantastic and
underrated plants that can add so much to any garden, and with such a large range you're almost guaranteed to find the perfect one for yours.
- We also have a great range of ornamental trees, a lot of which are potted by our very own Nursery team, and we have everything ranging from Acer to Zelkova. If you want something small to grow in a pot on your patio, or even a semi-mature specimen tree to give instant impact, then come to The Gardener's Garden Centre for our full range.
- One of the first jobs to be done in the garden once the harshest weather is out the way is to start preparing for your summer bedding displays. To help you on your way we will be stocking our largest selection of young starter plants, so you can get ahead using this great value way of creating some stunning summer colour.
- We will also have a fantastic range of summer flowering bulbs available, with the full selection on sale at The Gardener's Garden Centre. This will include all the usual varieties of Dahlias, Gladioli, Lilies and Begonias as well as some great new varieties for 2010.
We think that the experience really is growing at Coolings this year, and we know more than ever that as times are changing we must strive to improve ourselves in every way. With all the new product ranges and exciting changes in the pipeline, as well as our award winning sales teams, we hope you can pay us a visit and enjoy everything Coolings has to offer for a greener 2010.
