An Introduction to Garden Design (8 Weeks)

WHAT WILL I LEARN/WHO CAN APPLY?

Entry onto this course is open to anyone who has a genuine interest in garden design; some knowledge of garden plants would be useful.

  • Lectures on designing with plants, landscape materials and how to apply them successfully to designs
  • A history of garden design

Throughout the eight weeks, students will learn how to apply their ideas to paper with site-specific projects aiming to start them on the path to becoming garden designers, or simply planning their own garden.

Extra work is required occasionally outside of lessons. Time may be needed to spend on writing or typing up the notes, thinking and researching design ideas.
